Creative Arts Therapists work with creative modalities, including movement and dance, drama, the visual arts, poetry and music, within a model of therapeutic practices. They often specialise in one or two modalities in particular, and work with both individuals and groups. For many people the use of the arts in therapy allows the readier access and safer expression of emotions and psychological issues than talking alone may do. It is suitable for anyone, from those who would like to maximise their well-being and personal growth to those with particular issues to resolve including trauma, depression and/or anxiety, addictions, illness, grief, relationship difficulties, or physical, emotional and intellectual disabilities.
MARCO caters for adults, children and adolescents, providing arts disciplines combined with innovative therapeutic practices of the highest professional standard. Each therapist at MARCO works differently, as different modalities and therapeutic styles will suit different people: their profiles can be found on this site. Each therapist's contact details are available for enquiries about the therapy, bookings and costs. The therapists who offer creative arts therapy at MARCO are highly trained and qualified and abide by the MARCO Code of Ethics.
Our therapy room is available for hire by other Creative Arts Therapists. Please contact us to enquire.
