MARCO gallery | project space is an exhibition space for local New Zealand artists and community groups. The art gallery acts as a platform for practising and emerging artists of all ages and abilities. As well as curating shows based on a diversity of themes, cultures and issues the gallery shows work by solo artists. MARCO gallery | project space brings aspects of the wider world to the local community by encouraging return visits and offering meaningful experiences.

MARCO gallery | project space provides exhibitions and shows in the hope that people will develop an understanding of the diversity in the arts and will be inspired to explore and experiment in their own art-making. MARCO gallery | project space validates all programmes taking place at the centre and gains community relevance by providing a non-traditional service addressing health through art and learning.
